Planning wise,as well as the usual spatial requirements,the brief for this award winning Display House read like a shopping list of required features  to be  incorporated : a corner butt jointed glass at the front,frameless pivot glass front door, open tread stairs clearly visible through the slots in the “feature” walls extending  along the Foyer from the semi formal Lounge (with real fireplace), a mezzanine-over-looking-the Family Room which opens directly via a series of folding glass doors onto a large “Alfresco” Dining space. And a swimming pool.

Externally the brief simply required the house to have a modern and striking appearance from the street which was quite a challenge given the blocks modest 13.5m frontage.The combination of a sharply angled  first floor skillion roof soaring above the square set parapets the black tiled blade wall informs the modernist architectural language. The Client’s corporate colour- a deep orange-  represented by the aluminium cladding to the upper level and offset by the relatively sedate off-white rendered walls wrapping around the ground floor completes the picture.
